Dog Heartworm No Perscription Pills Will Not
Be A Conventional Treatments
In order to get prescription-free heartworm pills, you will
have to use natural or alternative treatment methods. Most of the
traditional, conventional heartworm treatments will require a
prescription due to the nature of these treatments. If you see a
store that is offering Sentinel or Interceptor without a
prescription, make sure that check to see if this is a new version
of these medications that does not require a prescription.
The exception to this rule is Heartgard Plus, which can be offered
without a prescription.
The reason for this is that conventional heartworm treatments
operate by killing off the heartworm larva inside of your dog's
system. This means that you are giving your dog pesticides in pill
form - and there have been some side effects noted, in certain
breeds.
You need a prescription to get Interceptor or Sentinel because your
vet will need to check your dog in order to make sure that there
will not be any serious side effects from the medication.
If you are looking for dog heartworm no perscription pills, then
this is a reason to try alternative treatments. Most of the
alternative treatments are sold without a prescription as herbal
remedies that you can feed to your dog.
However, you should keep in mind that these treatments have not been
proven effective.
Consulting a vet about any heartworm treatment is a good idea.
You may also find that dog heartworm no perscription pills are not
the best idea for your dog. The reason for this is that you should
be consulting your vet before you make any heartworm decisions for
your dog. If you live in an area that has a lot of heartworm
outbreaks every year, then it is a good idea to use the conventional
treatments that are highly effective.
It is also relatively easy to get prescriptions for heartworm
medication. Since it is always recommended that you get your dog
tested for heartworm once a year, you can pick up a renewed
prescription at that time.
Prescription-free heartworm pills are available if needed, but they
are not recommended unless you have consulted a vet.
Over-the-counter medications are effective in order to treat some of
the other parasites out there, but heartworm is so serious that you
should make sure that you are doing what you can to prevent it.
