There are 2 extreme schools of thought when it comes to a dog digging holes in your garden: one, that a dog is a dog and he's going to dig, and he should be allowed to express his true doggy nature whenever and wherever he wants; and two, that a flowerbed is reserved for flowers, and if that dog even sets foot in it he's in big trouble.

You may not think that it's possible, but dogs can, and do get arthritis. Usually you will notice that maybe they aren't as active as before or just don't seem to be themselves. As responsible, loving dog owners we will of course try our best to help out our furry friends, but most often you will need the help of a vet to relieve their pain and prevent the disease from spreading further.

It is painful for any owner to see their pet suffering from the agonizing pain of arthritis. The hurting can be seen in the animal's eye and you have the great desire to do something to end the despair. You can actually do something about it now by preventing it from taking place and even checking the development of arthritis if the animal is already suffering.

How to get a dog to stop barking is a primary aim of some dog owners. They don't want their dog to bark, period. A good dog is a quiet dog, and the only time they should bark is if a robber is climbing in through the bedroom window. Otherwise, you have dog barking problems.

Before we look at the symptoms of parvovirus in your dog lets take a look at what it is, what it does and how it is spread. Parvovirus is a virus first identified in 1978 that spread worldwide in just two years. Over the years, the virus has mutated into two distinct strains and there is evidence of a third strain in Spain, Italy and Vietnam. All cases of canine parvovirus or CPV come from the first two strains. It was originally thought that the virus would mutate into the feline panleukopenia, a feline parvovirus but this was found to be untrue. All species have their own parvovirus but it is not spread outside the species.

Your dog's happiness and wellbeing is directly linked to his health. An unhealthy dog may not be as happy as he should be. However, even if your dog is not in great health, if you spend good quality time with your dog on a regular basis, his happiness is almost guaranteed. Conversely, even if your dog is in peak health, if you leave him in a kennel in the backyard and rarely interact with him, he cannot be happy, because dogs are such social animals.
